PRODUCED MEDIA

Video is one of the most powerful and effective mediums for storytelling and audience engagement across most any context — whether it be promotional, informational, or entertainment based. Which means, for a passionate marketer such as myself, developing a level of comfort and savvy when it came to video ideation, development, and production was critical to my growth.

As my podcasting journey matured, I began to explore more of the approach to effectively capturing content via video, with the added layer of focus on content that was real, in some cases raw, and in all cases highly relevant to a winder conversation taking place at that time.

The She Speaks Project was one of my first fully fleshed out independent explorations of video as a medium for storytelling (other produced works as an employee in the non-profit sector can be seen under Marketing). Although the project remains incomplete — due to my movement away from independent consulting to join the fundraising team at Blakely — the videos produced to-date were highly effective both in terms of organic engagement as ad units in paid media promoting the project.

The videos you see here are some highlights from the diverse experiences and stories captured during our many conversations with professionals from across Canada.
