Podcasting Media

Back in 2017, I attended a podcasting-focused conference called PodCamp Toronto, and listened as a tenured podcaster discussed how building out a successful podcast isn’t possible without a serious (seriously expensive) upfront investment in recording and editing technology… I respectfully disagreed. This was the catalyst for my interest in raw, mobile-first podcasting strategy, content development, and production. To date I have ideated, hosted, produced, and marketed 3 podcasts to-date — conducting interviews and engaging professionals and storytellers nationally across Canada and internationally in the United States and even South Africa, covering everything from politics and business to philanthropy, to art, to sport.

Although it’s been a minute since I produced a new episode, I’ve spoken on content, channel strategy, and podcasting on a budget at PodCamp Toronto 2019 (I came back, and took the conversation in a different direction) and the Association of Fundraising Professionals GTA Chapter Fundraising Day 2021, and have consulted on podcasting strategy with corporates, nonprofits, and individuals looking to incorporate podcasting into their marketing mix.
